Many people seek my advice on how can they quickly and easily get away with starting a business from scratch? Although there is no easy answer to this complex question, I tell them that it is all about the people you surround yourself with.
The herd mentality is not only specific to animals, but it holds equally true for human beings. If this happens to be business experts, consultants or entrepreneurs, then you are on the right track.
Your business will only be successful so long as your heart and mind are in it. To be able to succeed at something you must want to give it all you have.

One of the most important aspects of starting a business from scratch involves being around people who have done it themselves. Seeking advice from those you consider successful is how you progress in life.
Even as a solo entrepreneur, when you believe that you can do it all on your own and you do not need another soul to help or guide you down the correct path, you still need a professional help.

Meeting with business gurus-
You can find business gurus all around you. Perhaps you start with close friends & relatives and then branch out to bankers, lawyers or accountants.
When you surround yourself with a ‘dream team,’ you learn things that you would otherwise take a very long time to experience. These three branches of business are considered the most important building blocks.
- Finance
- Operations
- Digital Marketing

Why should you not ignore Digital Marketing?
The latter is particularly important to succeed as a business in today’s economic culture. With digital marketing, you can set realistic goals for your business, observe its growth in terms of statistics and be in complete control over the geographical targeting of your audience, all of this would have been impossible about 20 years ago!
When in need, seek advice from the experts, or as I call it ‘board of advisers.’ These highly experienced entrepreneurs with years of training and hard work invested in starting successful businesses can give you valuable advises that will form the backbone of your startup enterprise.
What Can You Do Today?
So, if you have a strong drive for business, go out and ask some of these people to give you references to get started. If you feel that you are too shy, then try taking the first-step towards approaching the people you know very well.
Remember, entrepreneurship isn’t all about making big money, it is also about reshaping your personality and learning or doing things you never thought you could do. All of this pays off in a very big way that will change your life for good.
